S.T.E.P. is a great opportunity for volunteers, staff, and students! The S.T.E.P. program in Ripon began more than 20 years ago and offers senior volunteers the chance to share their knowledge, skills, and abilities to create a positive impact in the lives of students and staff. Through the program, volunteers are eligible to work in the district in exchange for property tax credit. The program is for senior citizens age 62+ who primarily reside in the district. At the end of the calendar year, eligible volunteers receive a check equal to $5.00 per hour up to a maximum of $425.00 or 85 hours (per household) made payable to them and their resident municipality.
