Release Time
All students in grades K-12 are eligible to be released from school classes on Wednesdays at 2:30 pm to attend religious instruction classes offered in the various area churches. Students to be released must have on file in the school office a request form signed by the parent or guardian. Request forms are available in the school office and/or at the participating churches. School programs such as bus transportation schedules, daily instructional programs or other school activities will not be altered to accommodate students who elect to participate in the released time program. Complaints regarding the release to attend religious instruction classes should be referred to the Business Manager at PO Box 991, Ripon WI 54971.
Pupil Assessment Examination Excuse
Under state law, the parent or guardian of each pupil enrolled in the 3rd - 8th, and 10th grades in the school district, including pupils enrolled in charter schools located in the school district, may request the school board to excuse the pupil from taking the statewide 3rd - 8th and 10th grade examination administered under the pupil assessment law. Upon the request of a pupil’s parent or guardian, the school board shall excuse the pupil from taking an examination administered under this section.
