Paige Sonntag

Hello,

My name is Paige Sonntag and I am the Dean of Students here at RMS. This is my second year in this role. Prior to RMS, I taught special education and third grade at Murray Park Elementary. It has been wonderful to see so many familiar faces as students transition to middle school.

As the Dean of Students, I work closely with teachers, staff, and families to promote a positive school culture and ensure every student has what they need to be successful. My role is centered on supporting students so they can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally—throughout their middle school journey. One of my main responsibilities includes supporting students. I work closely with students to help them make positive choices, take responsibility for their actions, and develop the skills they need to be successful both in school and beyond. When issues arise within our building, my role is to work with students in a fair and supportive way. I believe that the communication between school and home is essential to student success.

My door is always open to students and families. I look forward to partnering with you.

Thank you,

Paige Sonntag

Todd Arft

Hello!

My name is Todd Arft and I am the school counselor at Ripon Middle School. I began my career here at RMS in 2008 and I've really enjoyed working in the Ripon community for the past several years. Before coming to Ripon I worked as a high school counselor at Menasha High School and an At Risk Coordinator at Westfield High School. I received my Masters of Science in Education from UW-Oshkosh and have two Bachelors of Science; one in Social Work from UW-Oshkosh and one in Sociology from UW-Stevens Point.

My drive as the middle school counselor is to work together with teachers and parents to help students meet their goals. I take pride in getting to know all students, and my number one job is to help your sons and daughters think about who they are and how they can best fit in this world. It is only then, we see them learn with a purpose.
