Welcome to Barlow Park Elementary School!
My name is Tanya Sanderfoot and I am proud to serve as the principal of Barlow Park Elementary School! Barlow Park which serves students in 4PS through 2nd grade. We pride ourselves on being a special learning community that meets the needs of Ripon Area School District’s youngest learners. On behalf of the faculty and staff, I want to welcome you to Barlow Park Elementary School!
Our classrooms provide students with the building blocks for a lifelong love of learning by having safe, nurturing, and educational environments focused on age-appropriate concepts and academic growth. All students benefit from the rich diversity our school offers and we treasure these opportunities to grow together. At Barlow Park Elementary School, it is our mission to work together to help each child grow and develop to be the successful child s/he can be.
Some of the finest educators you will ever find work here with the children at Barlow Park. Our staff is dedicated to helping develop the whole child. We provide all children with a unique blend of educational experiences within our school and throughout our community. Within this context, we use student data throughout the year to guide our instructional practices to both challenge and support all of our students.
A little about myself: I received my Bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. I spent 9 years teaching in an elementary classroom for Kimberly Area School District. During that time, I received many opportunities for leadership within my school and the district. Those opportunities led me to pursue a higher degree. I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2010 and spent several years searching for a school district that would be a good fit for my family and me. This is my first principalship and it is an honor to work for Ripon Area School District! I am very eager to work with the families of Ripon as well as the community to make Barlow Park Elementary School a positive learning environment for all students.
Please feel free to contact myself or other school personnel with any questions, concerns or ideas that arise. The staff and I look forward to getting to know you and assisting each child to reach his/her highest potential. Have a great year!
Yours in education,
Tanya Sanderfoot, Principal
