Journey Home

Our vision: Journey Charter School will provide a project-based learning environment that will consider the whole child in fostering inquiry and critical thinking skills, and guide our students to flourish as leaders, life-long learners and problem solvers.

Our mission: To empower students to problem solve and flourish in a global society

Journey Charter School is a K-2 charter school and will be located within Barlow Park Elementary School. Journey Charter School will lay the foundation for a continuum of project-based charter schools offered throughout the Ripon Area School District. Journey Charter School emphasizes project-based learning methodology which teaches content and skills, builds deeper understanding of concepts and makes curriculum engaging and meaningful. Project-Based Learning refers to a set of teaching strategies that enable teachers to guide students through in-depth studies of real-world topics. Journey Charter School affords teachers the opportunity to be innovative and creative in their teaching models.

Welcome, Mrs. Amy Pollesch, to the Ripon Board of Education. Mrs. Pollesch has been appointed to the vacated one-year term. While Mrs. Pollesch will assume the responsibilities of this term immediately, she is still in the race for one of the three-year term positions and is still eligible to be voted into the longer term through the election process.

If Mrs. Pollesch were to be elected to the School Board in April for a three-year term, she would need to resign from the one-year position and then the one-year position would become open again. For more information please go to the "news" tab on our website.  #riponwiproud
