Student Insurance

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The Ripon Area School District does not provide health or accident insurance for injuries your child may incur while at school, participating in interscholastic sports, or engaging in other extracurricular activities. However, as a service to families, we are offering an optional student accident insurance plan.

You may consider purchasing this coverage if your health insurance plan has a high deductible and/or copayments. It may also be beneficial if you do not have health insurance.

This plan helps cover medical expenses resulting from an accident. If you have other insurance, benefits from this plan may be applied toward your deductible or co-pays. If you do not have other insurance, this plan will serve as your primary accident coverage.

You might purchase this insurance coverage if you have a high deductible and/or copayments for services in your health insurance plan. You also might purchase this insurance if you do not have health insurance.

This plan will provide benefits for medical expenses incurred because of an accident. If you have other insurance, benefits can be applied to your deductible or co-pays. If you have no other insurance, this will become your primary accident plan.
