The following items are the components for a fifth and sixth-grade student to participate in Odyssey Academy. This academic outline gives you a general overview of the year. Google Classroom will be used to communicate the specifics of these projects and tasks.
Reading
- Online District Reading Assessments - iReady (fall, winter, spring)
- Quarterly Online Portfolio Skills Assessment (based on grade level standards)
- Reading conferences w/ teacher, as requested
- Complete an independent book/reading log
Online reading support - IF teacher recommends based upon student performance

Writing

Students will choose from the grade level project guide to create (or create their own project with guidance from the teacher or based on their home curriculum) each semester. Topics covered include: Inquiry Practices, Behavioral Sciences, Economics, Geography, Political Science and History.
