LIVE Courses
- LIVE courses allow students to develop knowledge and skills by actively engaging in real-world and personally meaningful projects.
- LIVE courses are offered in all core subject areas:
- English/Language Arts
- Math
- Science
- Social Studies
- Students meet regularly with other students and teachers through virtual meetings to discuss assigned topics and to present the work they've been doing.
- Odyssey teachers provide instruction via Zoom/recorded videos, provide feedback and assign coursework.
FLEX Courses
- Teachers select curriculum for certain subject areas and students work independently on assignments and projects.
- Teachers and students meet one-on-one or in small group weekly to review student's progress to ensure all standards are being met.
- Students are required to meet weekly assignment requirements and deadlines.
- Students present projects and coursework to teachers for grading.
- Odyssey offers the FLEX Course option for core subject areas and electives required for graduation.
Online WVS Courses
- Students wishing to take courses online may do so through the Wisconsin Virtual School (WVS) if not already provided by Odyssey teachers.
- Through WVS, students have access to hundreds of courses in all subject areas, including electives.
- WVS courses are self-guided and self-paced. Students have access to all course materials through an online platform and complete coursework and assignments at a pace and schedule that works best for them.
WVS Course Catalog
Courses at Local School
- Students have the flexibility to take up to two courses per semester at their local middle/high school.
- Students work with school staff to select courses and create their schedule while in the school building.
- Students attend the course during scheduled time frame and work on all other coursework from home before or after scheduled courses.
- Courses are instructed by teaching staff at local building. These instructors evaluate student's work and assign grades based on local school standards/guidelines.
- The family is responsible for providing transportation if not provided by their local district.
